Ignighter Magazine
Ignighter Magazine is Ignighter's online publication on dating. The Ignighter team is passionate about changing the way that people think about their options when it comes to online dating. So, an article that approaches dating from a difference perspective is published every day. Users can subscribe to magazine articles via email.
For this project, I was given the Photoshop mockups and asked to slice the design and turn it into a fully functional website. I started with thinking about the data structures, creating the database tables (MySQL) and programming the back-end (PHP). The next step was breaking down the components of the design and establishing the HTML structure using the 960 grid system. During this phase, I made some changes to the proposed visual design, content organization and navigation system. After generating the images and other graphics, I worked on the actual HTML/CSS. Finally, I used jQuery to auto rotate the article images and add interactivity to the site.
After Ignighter Magazine was launched, I was responsible for publishing the daily magazine articles and creating ads to be displayed on Ignighter pages to advertise the articles. You can see a few of those ads here.
